William (Bill)'s Story
Life
After 4 years in the Navy, I began a 25
year career in the computer industry. I
first worked in hardware engineering,
moved into management and ultimately
management consulting. I worked for
Litton Industries, Digital Equipment
Corp. and finally Compaq. I moved to
sunny Southern California in 1982 and
have never moved since. I live in Laguna
Niguel with my wife Kathy and my two
sons, Charlie (age 17) and Nathan (age
11). I consider myself ex...Expand for more

fortunate for having had the opportunity to
join an industry in its infancy. It
provided more than ample room to grow
and advance along with each emerging
technology. Above all else, it has been
enormous fun. I retired at the end of
2000 to do all the things that I put off
while pursuing my career. This includes
everything from growing my hair into a
ponytail to restoring a 1950 Studebaker
stashed in my garage;... and everything in
between!
